ive been on hold with tiger airways for 20 minutes!!!!!

good morning, everyone!
im writing this blog post while in a quaint little coffee shop in Margaret River, while my phone credit gets eaten up. I'm on hold to ask Tiger whether we need to web check-in (like i have needed to do in the past, to avoid extra fees when getting to the airport) for our flight this evening, since there is NO MENTION of it anywhere on my itinerary, or my confirmation, or the 'manage my bookings' section of their website. this is getting a little ridiculous, actually. Tiger Airways is the WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aaaaaaaanyway, Ryan is here, he landed safe and sound in Sydney on Thursday Jan 17 and was welcomed by 41 degree heat, and then the next day the temperature record was set as an all-time high of 46 degrees was recorded. needless to say he did not sleep very much, as his was the top bunk on the top floor of a hostel without a/c. Once he got to perth on saturday, however, he DID sleep, and has been sleeping well ever since.
Saturday night we had dinner with my housemates Jade and Gavin, and i got a discount, seeing as I'm still technically an employee of Hippo Creek until I get paid next week ;)
Sunday was a great day at Cottesloe, topped with a swim in the Indian Ocean at 830am the next morning. We did Fremantle on Monday and Rottnest Island on tuesday, where we biked almost the entire island, giving us almost 20kms of biking under our belts....and all before noon!! Rottnest was gorgeous and we had our mid-morning lunch at Ricey Beach, which was practically just ours (only one other family and another couple was on the other side of the beach....nice and secluded!). We got the rental car on Tuesday night, which is good because we would have missed our Wine tour pick-up had we gotten it at 6am!!
we left perth around 6:45am from Gav's house, as we had to pick up all our luggage (we had only packed a few things to bum around perth for the three nights that we didnt stay at the house). traffic was bad. Jade was right when he mentioned Perth rush-hour begins at 6:30am. i had not believed him. well, we made it to our hotel in Margaret River literally ten minutes before our tour picked us up, and I was well stressed. that all stopped during the first few wine tastings, however, since ryan and i had not had breakfast LOL it was a good day ;)
well now i have spoken to the well-meaning yet difficult to understand Tiger Airways agent and i must bid you all adieu so ryan and i can go explore the town! much love, and I will keep you posted often, as i have my portable internet stick again!!!! much love mes amies (yes, you're all a bunch of beautiful ladies hahahaha)
